"JM" IS AN ALBUM FULL OF SASS AND MELANCHOLY

EACH TRACK DESCRIPTION

MALIGNITY
I was angry about what happened to my first album and I was angry in general so I came up with an alter ego named Jonny Malignity. Malignity meaning malicious behavior or nature. I don't feel like that so much anymore but it is the name of the album after all and I had to have at least one political song! LOL

BAD LUCK
Initially meant to be an angry song too, it evolved into a quirky dance tune.

MILLIONAIRE
Millionaire is about a longing for being rich while also poking fun at and even insulting million and billionaires for in reality, most of them suck and are not the best citizens of our planet.

I HATE YOU
This is a remake of a "The Anonymous Musician" ANON - song from The Janella Jessica Show, wayyy back in 2013
Original Here >> LINK - It's a lament to my disgust with the whole concept of money but how we all want it. Sorry... you can't hear the new version until the album is released! ;)

TORTURE
This is probably my favorite track on the album. Rather R&B-ish, it's a song about a straight man in a relationship with a crazy woman and a tumultuous relationship.

AGAIN
ANON's last song and a remake, I've wanted to remake this song in better quality, and now I can! Plus, it's just a beautiful song about being humble.

FLY WITH THE ANGELS
This song is about my friend's very young daughter named Justice Spencer, who died from complications of Fanconi Anemia this year. I only met Justice twice but was so enamored by her and her mother's strength and I was very touched by her death. There has been a lot of death in my life this year and her's just pushed me over to an attitude of - Life is short, my life isn't that bad and it's time to cherish every moment in life, good and bad, instead of being miserable by it! I dedicated my last album to my mother because she inspired me and kept on me to continue with my music and is such a support for me and I dedicated Jonny Malignity to Justice because honestly, I probably wouldn't of finished this album if it wasn't for the inspiration I felt by her. Unfortunately, it took her death to make me fully realize this.

VESSEL
Vessel is a deep, slow song, that reflects on the whole purpose of life and that we ALL are born into a vessel, live life, and then die and our vessel goes back to the earth and our soul goes back to the higher plane that we originated from.

SAPPY
The lyrics are actually from a song called "Happy" that ANON did back in 2013 but the music composition is completely different - Midnight Express-esque, I renamed it "Sappy" because Pharrell stole the name of my damn song - ;)

WHITEBOY
"I'm just a whiteboy tryin' to make it in this world" - A song about my downfalls as a younger human but how I have evolved into a better person today.

WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME THIS WAY
A Bypass Ratio remake, this song was a mixing and editing NIGHTMARE and it actually is the worst song on the album but it still has its charm and the album covers have already been made so, the song barely made the cut, but it made it. Original here>> LINK

STARSTRUCK
A relatively short ending to the album, it is basically Jonsona, longing for approval.
"Why can't you be starstruck... withhh meeee. I am a star."

I was aiming for a December release but I think the album may be complete by September so, late that month or in early October, Jonny Malignity should be released and singles and videos begin soon after. This was a labor of love and a much more pleasant experience that the making of my last album! To me, it's almost a masterpiece and by far the best work I have ever done!

EXEMPLIFY WAS LIKE A LOST SOUL AND JM IS LIKE BEING REBORN

_____

Jonsona actually started composing the new album, not long after the completion of Exemplify - but recording ceased after 60% of the music was done, in June.

J>> It got a great start but I just wasn't ready. I knew if I continued work on the album at that time, I would royally fuck it up so I waited, found other non music related projects to work on, worked on my health and then by the time August rolled around, I felt the spark, I was ready to resume and create and so far, I have really outdone myself!

Normally I beat the hell out of myself, as most artists do I think, with, "Oh, I'm not good enough, oh, that sounds like shit and so do I" - when I was recording Exemplify, I was awful to myself and it was for money (not all of it but most of it was to be... for MONEY) and it hampered my creative process, but with this album, I didn't do it for MONEY and have evolved so much this year and well, I think people and my fans who listen to the new stuff will be able to hear the difference between the two albums. This one has flowed as smooth as butter and I've really impressed myself, with the music, the writing and my vocals, which I actually am usually not fond of (my singing voice) and although I bitch about Exemplify, I love that album too but this one is so much better and as close as I have ever come, in the last 3 years of making music, to recording a professional & high quality studio album. In regards to that, I'd give Jonny Malignity 89%! Or, 4 out of 5 stars.

There have been some trials and tribulations that Jonsona has gone through in these very interesting 2014 & 2015 years, but he is coming out on top, if not financially, then most definitely spiritually!

WHERE "JONSONA" ORIGINATED FROM

__

The concept of "Jonsona" - was conceived in September of 2014 (about a year ago). A stage name that was created in 1993 for an Erotic Artwork tablet book back then. "Jonsona" is a deep part of me - the "Jonsona" in me is the confident, strong "me" and yes, sometimes Madonna-esque (get over it) - however, the every day life me is actually quite boring and kind of nerdy! ;)

J>> I had decided to retire my music entity, BYPASS RATIO  last year and start fresh and maybe try to sell my music on a more professional level. I bought a brand new computer and expensive software and microphones and in March of this year, I got to work! I was hard on myself!   I struggled to get the album done by May (I was recording an album while still new to and learning how to use the software) and as I mixed the last track and was ready to start promoting and sell my first album, Exemplify, on CD BABY which would also be available through them on I TUNES and many other venues, when I uploaded the video to a single entitled  So You, on Youtube, I received a "matched third party content" warning!!! Come to find out, that the piano music loops from Mixcraft 7 (my Garageband like software) was actually from copyrighted music from this guy who is a CEO at NBC! Later on, I would find out that other loops I had used on the album were from copyrighted songs too. I was just devastated! Completely devastated! I sent a message to the bands and I never got a response back but I just didn't feel like I could "sell" an album with other people's music on it. I asked many music people about "loops" on music software and if I had a right to use them and apparently I do have the legal right and can sell my own music with them, just not sell the loops themselves but the loops for So You and Night Train were so much of these peoples compositions that I just didn't feel comfortable with selling my album, so it got uploaded to Soundcloud as a free album. Later on I would find out that apparently I TUNES and the rest, rejected the album or just didn't care so, it wouldn't of mattered anyway I guess. Exemplify was doomed as far as making a profit, from the very beginning! Fuck it!

I went into a deep deep depression after the Exemplify debacle! I laid in bed for months, slept and ate, ate and slept, watched youtube videos and got really fat! Then I got very disgusted with myself and I told myself, get over it bitch, record a NEW album then! I started the new album in May/June. I've used loops in this album too but they are very basic and according to the rules of the game, I can use them and there should be absolutely no problem with any copyright issues now! And, I'm not going to "sell" this album. Upload to Soundcloud and maybe some other places and maybe in some related way, I can somehow make money from my music and brand but if that never happens, the most important thing is that I am doing what I love, music, and that I didn't let a form of failure, stop me forever from continuing to do what I love!

ALBUM RELEASE THIS EARLY FALL
